Slide Clear Freight & Delivery Policy

Slide Clear Freight & Delivery Policy

(Applicable to all orders unless otherwise specified in writing)

Overview

To ensure predictable costs, safe handling, and streamlined logistics, Slide Clear does not arrange last-mile or direct-to-jobsite deliveries. All shipments are routed to a dealer’s warehouse, approved receiving facility, or freight-handling provider designated by the dealer.

This approach reflects industry best practices and has consistently resulted in smoother coordination and lower overall shipping costs for our dealer network.

Why We Do Not Offer Direct Jobsite Delivery

Direct-to-site delivery often introduces variables beyond the carrier’s control—restricted access, lack of equipment, unpredictable schedules, and increased risk of damage or delay. Having dealers manage final delivery ensures:

  • Greater flexibility in meeting specific site access or equipment requirements
    (e.g., open-deck trucks, cranes, forklifts, Moffett-equipped deliveries)

  • Improved control over jobsite timing, staging, and installation scheduling

  • Reduced freight costs compared to bundled, door-to-site solutions

  • Lower risk of jobsite delays due to miscommunication or restricted access

Dealer Responsibilities

Dealers are responsible for:

  1. Selecting a receiving location capable of accepting crates and managing materials.

  2. Coordinating final transport from the receiving facility to the jobsite.

  3. Ensuring proper equipment is available for unloading (forklift, manpower, etc.).

  4. Verifying all crate counts and condition upon receipt before signing carrier documents.

If your primary facility cannot receive freight, most regions offer neutral warehouses or freight-handling companies that can accept, store, and coordinate delivery on your behalf.

How to Specify Your Delivery Routing

Before production is completed, please confirm:

  • Receiving address, contact name, and hours of operation

  • Any special handling notes (dock vs. forklift required, appointment needed, etc.)

  • Whether a third-party freight handler will be used

Once provided, Slide Clear will route your shipment accordingly and provide tracking, documentation, and crate details.

Optional Jobsite Delivery

If direct jobsite delivery is absolutely required, the dealer may proceed under one of the following two options:

  1. Request a Quote Through Slide Clear’s Logistics Broker

    • The dealer may submit a written request including all required delivery details (jobsite address, access limitations, equipment needs, contact information, hours of operation, etc.).

    • Slide Clear will forward the request to our logistics broker for review.

    • Any arrangements, pricing, or coordination that follow will be directly between the dealer and the logistics broker.

    • The dealer may be required to open an account with the broker and must provide all final shipping details as requested by the broker.

  2. Use a Dealer-Selected Carrier or Freight Service

    • The dealer may independently source and arrange their own jobsite delivery through a carrier of their choice.

    • All coordination, scheduling, equipment requirements, and associated costs are the sole responsibility of the dealer.

    • Slide Clear will package freight for standard LTL/FTL transport and make materials available for pickup at our facility or designated carrier terminal.

Important:
Slide Clear assumes no responsibility for delays, access issues, additional fees, or damage that may occur during last-mile or jobsite delivery under either option. All risk associated with final delivery rests with the dealer or their selected carrier.

Acknowledgment

By placing an order with Slide Clear, the dealer acknowledges and accepts this logistics policy as part of the standard terms of sale unless a separate written agreement has been executed.
